This manual is published under section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA) and explains how to request records held by Ingenious Nexus, and how we process personal information under POPIA. Small private bodies may qualify for an exemption from compiling a manual; we publish one voluntarily so that requesters know how to reach us.

6. How to request access

  1. Complete the prescribed request form (Form 2 of the PAIA Regulations, available from the Information Regulator) and send it to the contact above.
  2. Give enough detail to identify the records and the right you want to exercise or protect, and say how you want to receive access.
  3. We may ask for proof of identity, and proof of authority if you request on behalf of someone else.
  4. A request fee and access fee may be payable as prescribed in the PAIA Regulations. We'll tell you before any fee is due. Requesters asking for their own personal information don't pay a request fee.
  5. We'll decide within 30 days (extendable once by up to 30 days with notice) and give reasons if we refuse, on the grounds PAIA allows.

If you disagree with a decision you may complain to the Information Regulator or apply to court, as PAIA provides.
